Butter Cookies - Traditional Family Favorites

1 cup butter                                      

1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla

3/4 cup sugar                                    

3 cups flour

1 unbeaten egg                                

1 teaspoon baking powder

2 Tablespoons cream                        

1/2 teaspoon salt

Cream together butter and sugar.  Then add egg, cream, and vanilla.  Blend in dry ingredients. Put into cookie press. Bake at 400 degrees for 5-8 minutes.
